About

Aarppoo is a slow journal about sport.

Sport is usually seen in speed — the sprint, the pass, the sudden goal. But speed becomes visible only when we slow down enough to watch the body that produces it. Aarppoo begins from that belief.

This journal observes the body in motion: on football grounds, running tracks, training fields, and quiet stadium mornings. It looks at the lives shaped by sport, the places where games are played, and the memories that remain after the crowd’s roar fades.

Here you will find photographs, field notes, portraits, match reflections, and essays on sport in cinema and history.

Aarppoo moves slowly. It is less interested in scores than in the gestures that make them possible — the breath before a sprint, the tired walk after a match, the silent discipline of training.

Because the body tells its stories in movement, and those stories deserve to be seen.

Be slow. Otherwise we cannot see the speed of the body.
